GO 60 plans to be an extraordinary event and represents the latest in a long line of celebratory expeditions and achievements..

  • 1956 - Overland Expedition - Land Rover enthusiasts attempted the unthinkable - an 18'000 mile drive from London to Singapore. Seven months later, the team earned the honour of being the first two vehicles to successfully complete the journey.
  • 1971 - British Trans-America Expedition - A drive from Alaska to Tierra del Fuego in the southern-most tip of South America. The trip was completed in 199 days and 16,000 miles.
  • 1988 - Speed records - a Rover Group employee led event that contributed towards breaking 21 UK speed records as a celebration of the new Rover Metro GTI.
  • 1993 - Tomcat Affair - yet more speed records broken through Rover Group employee led events.
  • 1998 - Fifty/50 - another Land Rover Group employee led event that raised £187,000 for UNICEF by exceeding their goal of visiting 50 countries in 50 days.
  • GO 60 is an employee programme affiliated to the Land Rover Club Ltd (Registered in England and Wales: 5639200).
  • GO 60 helps sustain the environment by completely offsetting carbon emissions and funding energy efficiency eduction through Climate Care.
